Dundee Marmalade traces its roots back to the late 18th century when it was first created by Janet Keiller, a resourceful Dundonian grocer’s wife. The story goes that in 1797, a Spanish ship carrying Seville oranges found itself stranded in the port of Dundee due to adverse weather conditions. Keiller, recognising an opportunity, purchased the entire cargo of bitter Seville oranges at a bargain price. Determined not to let them go to waste, she decided to transform them into a preserve.
Experience the essence of Dundee's renowned marmalade legacy with this exquisite fragrance. A beautifully balanced blend of sweet Cara Cara oranges and bitter Seville oranges captures the unmistakable character of Scotland's most famous preserve, bringing a bright and uplifting freshness to the home.
A splash of freshly squeezed Bonnie Brae lemon juice adds a vibrant citrus brightness, while a delicate sprinkling of brown sugar introduces a gentle sweetness that perfectly balances the sharper notes. Together, they create a fragrance that is fresh, inviting and full of warmth.
As the fragrance settles, it leaves behind a comforting citrus aroma that lingers gracefully in the air, evoking the nostalgic scent of traditional Dundee marmalade and filling the home with an atmosphere of warmth and timeless charm.
